Dr. Lisa Miller
In November of 2017, psychologist Dr. Lisa Miller visited Rice University to present a lecture and workshop based on her book The Spiritual Child. The workshop was open to parents, educators, and teens and addressed the link between spirituality and health in adolescents.

In 2016, parenting expert Dr. Sylvia Rimm explained how reason and religion provide balance to passion in helping youth discover their unique ways to leave our world a better place. Rimm suggests that identity formation begins in the family, and continues through school and college. The role of genetics, parents and siblings, teachers and peers, courses and religious influences shape children's identity, independence, and intimacy from cradle through college.
