E. William Barnett

E. William Barnett practiced law at Baker Botts L.L.P. for almost half a century where he specialized in commercial litigation and antitrust law and served as the Firm's Managing Partner for 14 years. Mr. Barnett has served as Chairman of the Section of Antitrust Law of the American Bar Association, and is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is a former Chair of Rice University's Board of Trustees, and has served as Chair of the Advisory Board of the Baker Institute. Mr. Barnett has served on a number of corporate boards and was named Director of the Year (2005) by the National Association of Corporate Directors. He is a graduate of Rice University and the University of Texas Law School, and has received lifetime achievement awards from both Rice and UT Law School.
