Location & Directions

The Boniuk Center is located in Herring Hall Rooms 120 & 122 on the Rice University Campus in Houston, Texas.

The Boniuk Center's Offices are located in Herring Hall, Building 28

is located in the Ley Student Center, Building 37
The Grand Hall is located in The Rice Memorial Student Center, Building 57
The International Conference Facility (IFC)
is located in James A. Baker III Hall, Building 9
The Baker Commons
is also located in Building 9

Driving Directions to the Rice Campus

Rice University is located at 6100 Main Street, Houston, TX 77005.  The campus is surrounded by Main Street, Greenbriar Street, Rice, Sunset and University Boulevards.  Questions?  Call the Welcome Center at 713-WELCOME (713-935-2663).

From the Galleria/Uptown area

Take West Loop 610 South and exit to US 59 North/Downtown. Exit US 59 at Greenbriar; stay on the frontage road. Turn right at the Greenbriar light and follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard. Rice campus entry gates will be on your right. Turn right into Gate #18 and park in any legal parking space in the Rice Stadium lot. Paid visitor parking lot is also available near Lovett Hall (Gates #1 and #2). Ride the free campus shuttle from the bus shelters to your campus destination.

From downtown Houston

Take Smith Street (a one-way street) until it becomes US 59 South. Exit US 59 at Greenbriar. Turn left under US 59 and follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard. Rice campus entry gates will be on your right. Turn right into Gate #18 and park in any legal parking space in the Rice Stadium lot. Paid visitor parking lot is also available near Lovett Hall (Gates #1 and #2). Ride the free campus shuttle from the bus shelters to your campus destination.

From the North


Those approaching Houston on I-45 north or I-45 south should take US 59 south exit. From US 59 south take the Fannin Street exit and travel south on Fannin until reaching Sunset Boulevard. Turn right on Sunset and immediately left onto Main Street. Rice Campus Gates #1 and #2 will be on right where paid visitor parking is available.  Ride the free campus shuttle to your campus destination.

Those approaching Houston from the north on US 59  (heading south) should take the Fannin Street exit and travel south on Fannin until reaching Sunset Boulevard. Turn right on Sunset and immediately left onto Main Street. Rice Campus Gates #1 and #2 will be on right where paid visitor parking is available.  Ride the free campus shuttle to your campus destination.

From the South

Those approaching Houston from the South on Hwy 288 will Exit at McGregor to Main Street. Turn left and proceed to University Boulevard where you will turn right. Proceed on University Boulevard to Entrance 8 at Stockton where you will turn right.  Visitor Parking is available at the first opening to the left or you can proceed to the Central Garage by following the roadway past the tennis courts and Autry Court (the gymnasium) to the second stop sign.  Turn right, proceed to the next stop sign.  Turn left and turn into the Central Campus Garage at the first opening to the left to the Central Campus Garage which is close to James A. Baker III Hall, Herring Hall, and the Rice Student Center where Farnsworth Pavilion and the Grand Hall are located.

From the Southwest:

Those approaching Houston from the southwest on US 59 (heading north) should exit at Greenbriar, stay on the frontage road, and turn right (south) on Greenbriar. Follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard, Rice campus entry gates will be on your right. Gate #18 leads to Rice Stadium parking lot, Gate #20 leads to the Central Campus Garage which is close to James A. Baker III Hall, Herring Hall, and the Rice Student Center where Farnsworth Pavilion and the Grand Hall are located.

From the West:

Those approaching Houston on I-10 should take the Shepherd exit off of I-10 and travel south until Shepherd becomes Greenbriar. Follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard, Rice campus entry gates will be on your right. Gate #18 leads to Rice Stadium parking lot, Gate #20 leads to the Central Campus Garage which is close to James A. Baker III Hall, Herring Hall, and the Rice Student Center where Farnsworth Pavilion and the Grand Hall are located.

From the Northwest:

Those approaching Houston on 290  should take 610 South to 59 North and exit at Greenbriar. Stay on the frontage road, turn right (south) on Greenbriar. Follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard, Rice campus entry gates will be on your right. Gate #18 leads to Rice Stadium parking lot. Gate #20 leads to the Central Campus Garage which is close to James A. Baker III Hall, Herring Hall, and the Rice Student Center where Farnsworth Pavilion and the Grand Hall are located.
